In 2007 we raised nearly $3,000.00 for Ronald McDonald House Charities & $1,000.00 for the Army Emergency Relief fund! Together with lesser charitable donations made, this made a grand total given to charity in 2007 $4,450.00!

Charitable contributions by COOL in 2008 totalled $1700.00 with large contributions to the American Red Cross & Salavation Army for their Midwest Flood Relief efforts, & to the National Military Family Association.

In 2009 COOL donated $150.00 to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. One of our COOL members organized a team of collectors to walk in the annual race for this cause that was held upon the conclusion of the KOC event in Kansas City that August. In support of her team, individual COOL members generously donated additional funds which played a major part in the sum of $2,305.00 credited to the team's effort! COOL members have a generous heart for charity!

In 2010 COOL & its members donated $1,055.00 to the Kirlin's Storybooks for Soldiers project of sending recordable books to our military in Afghanistan & Iraq. Rounding out the donations in 2010 with gifts to Doctors Without Borders & Susan G. Komen for the Cure brought COOL's total charity effort in 2010 to $1655.00.

Many of our members have had their lives directly/indirectly impacted, by breast & other forms of cancer. In light of that fact, and aided for the most part by COOL's hugely successful 2011 Charity Raffle, a donation of $4,100.00 was sent by the club to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation! In addition, COOL supported the Fisher Center for Alzheimer's Research Foundation, the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and our sponsor's "Kirlin's Storybooks for Soldiers" project in 2011 with donations of $500.00 for each! These, together with numerous additional donations given in 2011 in memory of deceased members, resulted in a very generous grand total of $5,950.00 given from the club treasury & the very generous & charitable hearts of our members in 2011!

Most of this is a credit to the faithful volunteerism of our members during our various projects & drives! This is what makes COOL truly
